Lazy Daisy Ceramics is a fun and relaxing paint-your-own pottery studio located in beautiful downtown Charlottesville. Come express your creativity in our spacious studio filled with everything you need to paint a one-of-a kind ceramic piece. Woman owned and operated since 1977.

Choose Your Piece

At Lazy Daisy, we have hundreds of unique unfinished ceramics (we call it "bisque") waiting to spark your creativity. Once fired they are food, microwave, and dishwasher safe. Each piece is labeled with a price and range from $1 to $75 depending on the size.

Pick Your Colors & Paint

Bring your ceramic piece to life with our selection of over eighty non-toxic underglazes. We have brushes, sponges, stencil, and stamps not to mention years of experience if you need help or inspiration. Unwind and have fun!

We Fire, You Pickup

When your piece is finished, the studio will apply a food safe clear glaze and then fire in the kiln. We'll text or call when your piece is ready for pickup, usually within a week.

Studio Fees

Studio fees cover paint, clear glaze, and firing.

$12 Adults (13 and up)

$10 Big Kids (5 - 12)

$7 Little Kids (0 - 4)

Plus the cost of the ceramic piece you choose. Prices range from $1 - $75.

Give the gift of pottery painting! Our special "gift tiles" are hand painted by us (and sometimes our customers) and are a unique gift for a friend or loved one. We have gift tiles available for $15 to $100.
